The Pueblo Post

On day 3 of our travels, we decided to check out downtown Pueblo since we were camping nearby.  We've passed by this so many times on Interstate 25, never stopping since we were bound for somewhere else.  In the last 10-15 years they have added a canal with water supplied by the Arkansas River, resulting in a wonderful place to stroll and/or eat at one of the restaurants along the way.  I found myself stopping many times to take photos of the numerous sculptures.

It was the perfect time to check this out.  No weekend crowds and the weather was gorgeous.  Later on that afternoon, the clouds rolled in, the temperature dropped and the windy gusts rocked our trailer.

I think the most impressive sculpture is titled "Walks Among the Stars", depicting a 18th Century Lakota woman.  The details and colors were amazing.

To top off our mini-adventure, we went to the popular Bingo Burger nearby.  I had a lamb burger, which was absolutely delicious (if you like lamb).  Don was equally happy with his third pound Angus burger.  I'm thinking this would be a good stopping place on the way back home except for the fact that the parking lot is small, so parking the truck and trailer is NOT an option.  Shucks.
